I love to write music to pictures, I love to write music of wildly different styles, I'm great with deadlines and I'm very big on client communication. And I've been lucky enough to work on some fantastic wildly different projects, a few of which are represented here.
I started out as an organist, pianist, string player and guitarist but became interested in music for the theatre after playing viola in the band for a school production of Twelfth Night. So after a University music degree I gravitated to becoming a theatre Musical Director and Conductor, ending up working on some great shows in London's West End. I also worked in Soho at a production house as a sound engineer, gaining valuable hands-on audio experience.
This lead onto opportunities to work in television radio and film. I have scored a great many documentaries, lifestyle and consumer shows, acres of children's TV, Arena and theatre tours, and son e lumiere at abbeys and castles. I have been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award, and programmes I've worked on have received BAFTAs, RTS Awards and TMA Barclays Awards.
